What do you need to bring :

        - One or more computers       
                . Minimum: 1
                . Maximum: 1 per team member
                . At least one of the computers must be enough good to run
                  a linux live-cd (Test the demo here. If you have any 
                  problems, let us know)
        - Some good documentations on remote exploitation of buffer overflow and 
          format string.
        - A C++ book if you need help with this language.                             
        - Your smile and your team work skill            

Contest Description :

        . Each team will receive a linux live-cd.   
        . The computer on which the live-cd will run is the team server.
        . On the server you will find the source code of a daemon. You have to
          build it and run it.   
        . Each team has the same daemon.    
        . Your goal :
               . Analyze the source code, find security flaws, correct them
                 and exploit other teams.           
        . Our correction server will check with simple requests every minute if
          your server is running or stopped. If the request works, you get 1
          point.                                     
        . The team which will have accumulated the most points at the end of the 
          contest will win.

Rules :

        . You can only hack servers of other teams. You cannot hack other team members
          personal computers or our servers. If you do so, you are out.    
        . On the server of other teams, you can only hack the daemon. You can't
          hack other services (SSHD, apache, etc).                                            
        . No network attack will be tolerated(arp spoofing, DOS, etc)
        . Have fun.
